Sunday Home Tour: Youthful LA Loft

This youthful Los Angeles loft has lots of colour, and energy, and I like that it doesn't feel like something out of a design magazine, while still retaining a good look about it. The only thing I don't love is the bare shelving dividing the office, but maybe if you were to replace that with some expedit shelves from Ikea....Fun!

You Can't Always Get What You Want

But if you try sometime, you just might find... you get what you need.

Happy Saturday. I'm a little sad since today is the last day I get to spend time with the boy before he heads off to another province to save other people's lives for a month. A MONTH. But I will enjoy today, look forward to my mid month visit, and continue my plans to clean my apartment/organize my life. We'll see if he was the one that was distracting me from creating my new filing system (!)... or if I'm just easily distracted.

To Primp

I love this photo series from Cherry Blossom Girl Alix. So pretty. So elegant. So stylish. And she's got a version of the shoes that I LOVE. Envy. Much envy.

Sunday Home Tour: Toronto Loft

Love the fun Queen Street West loft, with it's nooks and crannies! Love the ghost chair in the hallway. Something about it seems very "Toronto" to me.

Make Time

Good morning ladies and gents. If all goes according to plan I will have woken up this morning in Ottawa! Visiting the lady friends. Bestie from undergrad. Brunches, champagne, eating beavertails (that's right, about 50 grams of fat and sugar... but OH so yum) and generally gossiping into the night. My ladies may live hours apart, but every now and then we come together. Because nothing matters more than the people you love! (Not even the shoes you love, although it pains me to say it.)

Food Is Important

A universal truth.
I think losing my sense of taste is as scary as losing my sight or hearing. Thoughts?

Sunday Home Tour: Manhattan Fashion Designer

The same website that brought you my other NYC apartment love also brings you this fantastic home of designer Katie Ermilio (the granddaughter of Grace Kelley's personal clothier). Now once we stop thinking about how much we would have liked to meet Grace Kelley, and how much we would like a personal clothier let's appreciate this pretty Manhattan apartment.

Follow Me

Up early as I'm headed out of town for work, and haven't really fully packed yet! Yikes. Across the country (or at least part of it). This week will see me going Toronto > Abbotsford > Vancouver >  Calgary > Toronto > Ottawa > Toronto. All in a week! I do like to travel. I do like hotels. I like reading on planes and buses and the time it gives you to think. I don't, however, like missing my friends! But as always, when the chance to go somewhere comes up... I take it.
(The boy is off in Cuba, so we don't feel bad about me leaving him. In fact, we feel bad that I'm not in Cuba drinking rum! We feel real bad about this.)
