The Way To Have a Happy Life...

...is to be so busy doing what you like all of the time that there is no time left to think about whether you are happy.
True. Story.
I've been a busy girl. Work has been a whirlwind of late nights and working weekends. But today. TODAY I am on vacation. In fact I have this ready to be sent, and if I'm lucky, I'll hanging out at the airport when this is posted. (If I'm unlucky I'll miss my flight, like I did on the way to Coachella! Eeks!) I hope to fill my little vacation to the North East United States with food, fun, drinks, shopping, dancing, walking, and pastries. All the things that make me happy!
Happy Monday!

Sunday Home Tour

Love the vast white spaces with touches of green plants! I love that every photo has something living in it. So light and bright! You can almost smell the breeze through the photos.

Hi/Low: Grey Bedding

I'm totally in lust with graphic grey bedding at the moment. It started when I fell in love with the Jonathan Adler set above. At $225 US, however, it was out of my price range. The West Elm has been the one to more recently catch my eye. I love how unisex it is, but also how current. I want!

Shelter From The Storm

This weekend I was at a rainy wedding out in Vancouver. While not ideal weather for an outdoor wedding, there is something very romantic about rain, isn't there?

Salvina Lodge

Love the character of this lodge, and how they have incorporated all the wood to compliment to original building. Fantastic. I wish I could tell you more about the building, but their website is in Polish. Still. Without words, I know I like what I see!

Street Style: Polka Dots NYC Style

This fine looking lady took something that could have been very frilly and turned it sexy by pairing it with skinnies and keeping it sheer. Not quite office appropriate (at least not mine), but close!

TEJANI Hair Comb

What a beautiful hair comb! It would be great to hold back some waves. You know. The wavy hair that I don't have. Yeah, it would look awesome  in my imaginary hair!

Holy crap I keep finding things I love on ASOS! I'm just going to have to suck it up and get something from them. The question is... with so much to love....what?

Bar Carts

Love these bar cart options. I mean, in theory you don't have to put pretty bottles of wine and liquour on them, they could be useful for a multitude of purposes... but, let's be honest. That's not what I am going to be using them for!

Alright folks, off to the West again for work. Back in a week, and I even have some posts to keep you entertained while I'm working away.

Anatomy Of A Cupcake

I like the type of math that equals delicious.

Pussybow Short Sleeve Blouse

I'm currently looking for a few office pieces. Even though I've been working almost 3 years (as a full time employee... I've been working since I was 16!) I feel my office weardrobe is somewhat lacking. Love this shirt. It's easy and romantic, and also would work well into the fall.

Bowties

Sometimes I wish I was a jaunty fellow so I could accessorize with sweet ties like these ones.

Daily Dose

Have you checked out Ruche? They have a cute new feature called Daily Dose which shows you  how you can mix and match their clothing into outfits! I wanted to buy the poppy dress and the poetic jacket listed above, but they are out of my size. Still, it's a great way to show you how to be creative with different pieces. Nicely done Ruche!

I Love My Mom

Happy Mother's Day! My mom is the bestest mom in the whole wide world, and I'm not just saying that because she invites me over for Sunday dinner and feeds me good food! She also encouraged me to go to school for whatever I wanted (a real luxury in some families), paid for me to do competitive rhythmic gymnastics, and then let me quit, raised me on healthy food, and she loves me lots! (This is a shortened list of wonderful mommy things of course.) So tonight I'm going to make her a yummy dinner. It's not quite a fair trade, but hopefully I will have lots and lots of Mother's Days to show her how much I love her!

Street Style: Style Scrapbook

Today's style inspiration comes from Andy form Style Scrapbook. Love her look here. It somehow inexplicably is both professional and casual. Youthful and mature. Great contrasts!

Happy Weekend

Happy weekend everyone!

The first thing you should know is that if you love Starbucks they have half priced frappuccinos from 3-5pm from today until the 15th of May. Do it. I've already had my first! (They do soy frapps now!)

Now that we have that out of the way... I hope you all have a great weekend, and that you get to spend some time with your lovely mothers! My weekend will include a haircut (!), suit shopping for the boy, a birthday party, a hot tub soak, and making a Mother's Day feast of course! And possibly some cake. I can't say any more about that though, don't want to ruin any surprises for the mommy!

Geox Sibilla Sandal

I've been wanting a pair of wedges.  Even though my tastes definitely run more towards a more ladylike thin heel rather than chunkier shoes, something about this feels sort of "right" this season. Am considering this pair at the moment. If their wedges are as comfy as their flats, it might be worth the investment! Thoughts?
Geox: Sibilla Sandal in Black

*Edit* - I tried these on in the Geox store near Union Square in NYC last weekend, and they fit like a dream. They were $163 with tax though, and I wasn't feeling able to spend that much cash so I didn't get them. I'm regretting it now as I went to see if they had them in Toronto, and the woman at the Eaton's Centre informed me that they don't sell this style in Canada! Egads! Time for another trip back to the US??

Rustic Wedding

Ok, this is what I want to point out about this wedding. The bridesmaids got their dresses at H&M. I'm SO down with that. I have 7 besties, so I'm hoping to be bridesmaid at least... twice. And I'll buy a dress of your picking for your wedding. But if it's more than I spend on a dress of my picking, I mayyy grumble a little. I'll do it, because you're a bestie, but I'm just saying. These girls look great! If you're only going to wear a dress once might as well get it for under $50, you know?

Also this wedding was catered by Chipotle. Which I just discovered when I was in Florida. And I love.

So yeah, cheap and AWESOME.
